It was a good pairing. The upcoming Versace + H&M line in my head doesn't add up. "Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant - everything Versace stands for." "Glamorous" and "flamboyant" don't make sense at H&M prices. The results will most likely show cut corners and look cheap IMO.



Wilco releases first single on their own record label.

These guys have had a tough time of it in the past. "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart" caught the whole thing by chance. It goes like this: Mid-selling band makes new record. Major record label (owner by Time Warner) doesn't see a way to promote/sell new album. Phone calls, emails, meetings result in band frustration/ end of recording contract/ major record label letting mid-selling band walk away with the album they paid for. Mid-selling band turns around and sells the album for three times what it cost to make plus royalties to another record label (again, owned by Time Warner).

On Thursday, my stupid friend Bobby Finger started a stupid parody Twitter account for the stupid movie We Bought a Zoo.
Over the weekend, he's amassed almost 3500 followers, had articles written about him in Variety, the NY Times, the LA Times, and was named one of the top 100 Twitter feeds of 2011 by Buzzfeed.
