    Default BB7 routing q

    Hi,

A question for those with experience building around BB7s - will top tube-seat stay routing play nicely with the paragon low mount disc dropouts, or do I need to find a suitable high mount? I've read conflicting opinions.

This is for a cx frame, so I'd like to keep routing off of the DT.

    Thanks greatly.

You are mixing apples & oranges there IMO. I've seen a significant # of bikes with ATC's over 42.5cm snap at DT zip-tie mounts.
Why not use seat stay disc mounting? - Garro.

The way the Avid caliper sits on one of those dropouts is perfect for the cable running along the down tube and chainstay. You'll most likely need a big loop of cable to make top tube routing work with a low mount. If you're worried about getting mud in the cable, there's always the full housing option. If you don't like zip tie saddles you could use those tiny little rings.
