A little something different. This tool is kind of the ultimate tool for how much space it takes up. It is for setting the road brake bridge at the correct spot (along with using the same part that holds the bridge for mitering), wheel check tool, standard or curved bridge install part, cantilever stud install and lastly a seat tube checker that quickly check the center of the seat tube. It rotates on a bronze bearing and has a knob to lock it in place so it does not swing down. I am rather happy with the turn out. Here is the majority of it. I still need to make the seat tube checker and the canti stud holder is in the mill right now.

Been away for a few months but the old house is leased, the new house is very livable, and the shop is coming along.

One of the criteria was that we be able to get both cars in the garage if hail was on the way (which has been a lot lately in Texas). I had to leave the WRX out of gear and roll it in and block the front wheel because there wasn't a way out. But I met the two car criteria...

Richard, just for you (the mamma bird is cool with 'em still too):

To get into the spirit of the Giro d'Italia Baum staffer Nick took the plunge to give his Ristretto a bit of a freshen up. Inspiration came in spades from his favorite bike race along with his family ancestry.

Opinions definatley divided here at Baum HQ. First pink bike I've painted ( well this amount of pink anyway ) and have grown to like it after spending 15 hours giving Nicks old girl a new lease of life.

As all staff here at Baum can testify they never get entirely what they ask for when I paint their bikes. That especially goes for Mr B himself. Never had to re-do one yet I took the libery to sneak the Italian flag colors in on our fork Ugg boots for Nick, and to give it that bit extra and leave no doubt what this scheme represented to him.

Check out our blog for more info.

Looking forward to my next big challenge now!

    Have a great weekend everyone

    Cheers,

    Jared

MT seems to be a great place to start a bicycle racing career. First Leipheimer and now Van Garderen. All of us in Bozeman are very proud of Strong Frames ex-shop-boy and all around good kid Tejay.

For some reason brazing just isn't as tidy as TIG welding.

Also a titanium road frame just about ready for the media blaster.

    March of the litte projects!

The coupler bike received a respray- let me know if you need a steel retrofit:

Built up and shipped this after picking up the frame from paint the the rack from chrome- with the ability to run cross tires and fenders it should be quite the versatile package!

Looks like brazeons and finish work for me this weekend as well as a good shop cleaning.

Also, a quickie work holder for a set of dropouts going on a diet.
