Schweinshaxe and Rotkohl with an old family recipe potato salad.

Thanks and HT for the inspiration and the recipe to @Wisco who posted a prettier shot of his more perfectly cooked meal a little while ago.

Thank you. Also, that focaccia is sort of an inspiration. One of the local groceries used to sell it but no longer does. I’ll have to look up a recipe.

Here’s the recipe that my daughter uses...she said that if you substitute quick rise yeast, that you can cut the rise time from 10-12 hours to 3-4 hours.

Secret ingredient was Serrano peppers which works way better than ginger in my opinion. -Mike G

A very small sample of my latest bounty. Yesterday I picked up 400 in shell oysters, 9 quarts of shucked oysters and 30lbs of Rock Fish filets from my Eastern Shore connection!!!!! It will be shared among 5 or 6 friends. A bargain at $650
    Will be eating good today.

I've been making lasagna bolognese on Christmas day for several years now. Yesterday I did the heavy lifting and made the bolognese. Tonight I will vacuum seal a lot of it for use over the next few months. I'm doing a trade with a buddy who will be bringing me a few Indian dishes on Christmas Eve and I'll build and deliver a lasagna to him on Christmas day.

Just finished off the last of the Christmas turkey soup and dumplings. Might be the best I've made.

    Looks good R Dub.
