    Default Record Store Day

Tomorrow is Record Store Day. Here's a few great stores that would really appreciate your business. Buy something special from good people who are doing an admirable thing by just staying afloat.

I'll add another to the list:

    Princeton Record Exchange, Princeton, NJ
Sell Used CDs & DVDs at 1 of Largest Music CD Stores, Record Stores

Accessible by train on Northeast Corridor to Princeton Junction, then take the Dinky (shuttle train) to Princeton Station. Grab a doppio or drip at Small World, have lunch and Olive's next door, grab a beer at Triumph Brewery, and stop by to see Charlie at Kopp's Cycles on Spring St. (oldest continuously operating bike shop in the country). All that on just one block.

    Chase,

Every time you post something like this I remember that you're from Memphis. Really glad to see the Grimey's callout. I missed record store day, but I've made up for it over the years and will continue to. Plus, The Basement is one of those really cool venues that we're lucky to have.

I played The Basement years ago.
I'm also old friends (well, love/hate) with your Springwater ("Supper Club and Lounge" my ass).
And morning after breakfast at The Loveless Cafe.

Yeah. Springwater is a hole in the ground. Actually I think some holes are nicer.

Who did you play with, musically that is? God this post takes me back to the glory days of Memphis grind. His Hero Is Gone, will never be far from my 6 disc rotation. Back when music was beautiful!!!

Best I've experienced on the east coast. To this I'll add:

http://www.joesrecordparadise.com/ Joes in Rockville MD, huge selection of everything, Jazz selection is especially good

Record & Tape Exchange Fairfax Virginia's source for used, new, and out of print cd's, records, and dvd's. Record and Tape Exchange in Fairfax. Smaller store, still a very good selection. Can usually find some interesting avantguard, krautrock, spacerock.

Sadly Orpheus in Arlington closed a couple years ago...

edit: Oh, and if you're in Bucks County PA you should stop by Siren Records. Good selection of both new and used. Fairly large collection in bargan bins for $1 - if you look through enough of them you'll find something worthwhile.
