I'm a recent EV owner and don't always know what I'm talking about but trying to learn.

WRT charging the battery to 100% - It matters how long the battery sits at this high level of charge. So if you schedule the car to be fully charged right when you are leaving it shouldn't affect the batteries too much. One thing it definitely affects is your regen braking. A full battery won't regen so you have to use the brakes. The only time I have done this it was unsettling as the vehicle was actually coasting and I had to use the brakes like a chump.

Being America, I assume, people semi-try to toss their garbage into the dumpster, but if they miss, are too lazy to go pick it up.
It's simpler and you don't need to blame the poor garbage man.

But blaming the garbage man sounds like something a Tesla owner would do.... :)
Saab, your changing, you need to buy a diesel pickup and coal roll some cyclists.

Not blaming the garbage man at all. Not sure how anyone came to that conclusion. It’s the responsibility of the consumer to make sure their trash is disposed of properly. Throwing used Starbucks cups into an industrial dumpster isn’t really the right thing.

I post my posts to be instructive and not to be a smarmy “Tesla owner”.

Anyway, America probably isn’t the worst trash I’ve seen. France and Italy take that title, at least in my experience. Tires and appliances littered one of my ride routes in France in the 1980s. Clearly dumped into a ravine to avoid disposal costs and regulations.

Bully Dog & Pep Boys collabo are working on a coal roller for Tesla,
the diesel tank will replace the little used blinker fluid tank and piping.

Come to London in the spring, we can ride bikes in the countryside where fly-tipping became an art-form over covid Lock-down

or come to Japan, instead of dumping garbage in the ravine, the government will spray concrete it , so there is no landslide in the rain.

Saab is probably the least smarmy person I can think of, though I know him only as he appears in this forum.

I've decided I want a Nissan Patrol. To hell with snow plowing and gravel and driveways and asphalt paved roads. I'll get it set up in Iceland and drive wherever I want.

In the United States they turn it into the Nissan Armada and remove any semblance of personality whatsoever. What you drive if you think school paste is a condiment.

You are thinking right Jorn. If you want to drive anywhere you want I want to drive over anything I want.

It sounds like a small locomotive, it even has a horn like a locomotive and the controls are very simple. Infact haptics are a feature that have been part of the brand for almost 100 years.

In my northern clime, it's finally windshield-scraping season, and all I can see is that nearly flat expanse.

Best looking Prius ever. By far. I assume it’s a PHEV? If so, I’d guess most drivers will rarely tap into the gasoline engine and be operating on electrons alone.

I drove a Peugeot plug-in hybrid in 2021 and it was a fantastic experience when fully charged and otherwise a totally seamless and transparent drivetrain.

I think the replacement for Prius Prime is PHEV

    Base model isn't

I might even trade my 2-series Beemer for a prime version of that new prius. Test-drove the RAV version this year and yes, it's quick, but that's about where it's personality ends. Besides, unless you want to pay $5K + over sticker, and be willing to drop whatever you're doing and write a check the minute they call you, it's not happening.

I'm assuming the same scam will be in place when this new prius actually shows up.
