I was driving down to Watkins Glen with a friend following in his Mustang so his track day could get preempted by a Porsche club in person and when we got there he asked if the XC40 I was in was electric. Volvo didn't make tailpipe cutouts and if it were EV the only difference in appearance
was they put an insert in the grill instead of a grill.

Yes they took a complete U-Turn after the i8 and i3 (except for the motorbikes).

Volvo’s approach makes sense to me. If you like their ICE look, you’ll like their EV look. Why make loyal customers give up a car they like to look at?

    Their wheel designs are goofy.

Most wheels are these days. I usually like a dished wheel better than a flush wheel cover, Lancia Delta Integrales excepted.

I am not much into SUV but it is rare to see the original Vitara in such a good shape nowadays.

For a moment I thought you shared an old school canteen truck and I was 10 years old again. At the shop with Dad, getting my egg salad sammich and chocolate milk from the lunch truck with the other hard workin’ men.

While hopelessly (because on the crazy cobbles somehow my garmin find my way home device smashed on the ground and had been run over by the time I found it by going back a good distance) lost in Brooklyn, I bizarrely came across these random vehicles parked in the street. All different streets. But all within a maybe 7 block range of riding this way and that. I believe I was in Red Hook. I have no idea why folks in Red Hook seem to have an ability to find/ maintain/ drive vehicles like this. But I think I need to learn more about what makes Red Hook Red Hook.

    The smorgasbord….

Brought my car into the guy who does metal and upholstery stuff really well. He always has some nice vehicles that they are doing nice things to. This Buick was sweet and getting sweeter.

No LCD touchscreen silly shit here….

And because some here will appreciate these views….

^^^^ 4 "portholes", betting it's a Roadmaster, 1955-56. When I was in college I had a 55 4 door, not nearly as cool as that one though, this might have been the golden age of chrome, the Buicks had plenty.
The older I get the faster I was Brian Clare
