    That last lap was great.

It looked like the surface and/or tire grip was changing as the race went on, but perhaps the cars might look looser just ‘cause they were being driven more aggressively at the end.

I drove skid cars at mid Ohio 20 years ago, that was fun. And frustrating when the cars were set to super low grip.

Those overtake on the outside line are always special. Rallycross driver Kevin "around the outside" Eriksson is famous for that. The first time he did it at Estering in 2016, Peter Solberg, known for his wild driving style and leader of the championship that year, went bowing down before Erikssen's car after the race.

I came across this story and pic the other day.

Reportedly the high intensity headlights are used by cannabis growers.

Be careful where you park your Porsche.

I think I would be the owner of this Porsche I would just finish the hacksaw job and replace the lights with old teardrop lights like those we had in citroen 2cv. Would make for a super one of a kind post apocalyptic look.

A bit like when superbikes like the Suzuki GSXR came in the 80's and people would crash them and then be too broke to replace the fairing and replace the front light. That's how naked speedbikes became a thing and boom you had a trend and new bike category.

I went to a Subaru SVX experience drive, squiqly cone course, fun bit they were spraying the corners with soapy water.

Nissan 300zx? and Mitsubishi 3000gt FWD were the cars for your comparison drives.
The Mitsu, being FWD with a fine hand brake was by far the most fun, sliding
    thru the turns.

How much do the high intensity lights cost that this is worth it the risk? Or is this in a state where growing is illegal and cops watch track orders for high intensity lighting equipment?

That license plate looks like an European plate (elongated).

ETA. Bit of google-fu led me to a bunch of reddit posts, some going back 5 yrs. This particular Taycan was supposedly maimed in Dusseldorf.

This makes no sense to me. The original taycan did not go on sale until late 2019. So really is a 2020 model.

This TAYCAN is a gran turismo and it did not go on sale until 2021. . . I think it was 5 days ago.

The matrix headlights are over $3700 so worth stealing.( these £2700 in UK)

I'm guilty of not being specific enough. The 5 yrs remark was regarding thieves in targeting headlights on various Porsche models since ~2018.

This article from the Guardian shows that it's apparently a known issue for Porsche going back a decade, for pot growing purposes in the Netherlands, out of all places.

I thought it was a Panamera but I guess the grill is different?

Is that sheet metal or some kind of composite material?

I got the JDM bug bad over the summer and ended up importing these two. Putting them both up for sale and will probably keep the one that doesn't sell first. If anyone is interested they're on facebook marketplace or send me a pm. Lotsa fun but I can't afford the feed and care for both.

I thought that it was funny to see some of these interviewed, grown adult, lifelong Chicagoan owners pissed off about cold weather battery problems. For Pete's sake, these weren't these peoples 1st car, and even their previous gas powered cars had batteries, which were affected by the cold, what did they think would happen?

Plus, many, if not most of those that were interviewed seemed to be locals who, it seems to me, didn't have home chargers. I might be wrong with this supposition, but I couldn't imagine owning an electric car and not having the ability to at home charge.

It does seem that heavy drinking is involved.
