Years ago I saw a Rolls with Judges' plates parked on 89th just East of Riverside. Someone had gone down one side with a blunt object. Every panel was damaged. Another time saw a car that had been boxed into the space just go forward/reverse, forward/reverse, bashing the cars on both sides until there was enough space to exit.

If you can make it there...

The new Land Cruiser seems to check all the right boxes.
No immediate needs or plans but I will keep an eye on it.

The 1958 Edition is the cool one for me. Fabric seats (which I like in real life) and no sunroof, which I also like in real life. All that’s missing is a manual, which is rumored for the next 4Runner.

Agree that’s the one to get and a manual would be even better. Can hybrids even have manuals?

Also the announcement said it’s solely a five seater for the time being. Wouldn’t mind seeing a third row eventually even though it would obliterate interior cargo space.

Curious to see what the next 4Runner even is with the downsizing of the LC.

I think Toyota’s mid-sized trucks are all on similar platforms, if not the same ones. The next gen Tacoma is supposedly going to be available with a manual and I assume it’ll be a hybrid though I honestly don’t know. I’m not surprised the LC won’t have a manual, but it’d be pretty cool if it did.

In the end I doubt I’ll get one but I will have a look when and if they show up at the local dealer. As it happens I really like some things about my current vehicle and really dislike other aspects of it. Keeping open minded.

Interesting that a manual 4R is being considered. I guess it’s relatively easy since Toyota has a stick option in the Tacoma.

Btw, that air dam on the Tacoma is pretty wild (I suppose the 4R will get one, too). One would think it seriously impacts ground clearance, which is one of the reasons for getting a pickup/SUV (and the reason I bought a slightly lifted wagon), isn’t it?

I got you beat because we pay to park our 2009 Subaru Outback in a garage (in our building).

I walk by this one a few times a week.

I wish they would do a slimline led lightbar and not that retro 90s thing they got on top. An LED lightbar would save battery power over that old one with all the bulbs and moving parts in it.

And they just got one of these:

As seen on the drive down to the Southern Country the other day…

And as seen parked on the street on the walk to the corner bodega on the UES in Yorkville today…

Nice truck. I remember the sound of those deep lug Uniroyals on the highway ... GM only gave you an AM radio because you were going to be listening to the tires anyway.

NYPD officers are so afraid of ending up on video and/or the news, as well as being brought up on charges and possibly ruining their careers, they never get out of the patrol cars unless they need to use the bathroom or get food. The city has gone to the wolves.
