It isn’t you. There is some kind of switch that takes you to the US site versus the UK site. This link appears to stick on the UK site which has prices. The US site does not appear to list them.

TLDR. They’re fackin pricey. Like Icon FJ or Singer Porsche.

Which reminds me, I saw a toddler in DC today with a t shirt of a LR Defender (110, four door, olive green with white hard top) that said “Old Greenwich”. Cool shirt. Can only surmise it cost more that the outfits of all three of my kids at the moment. Minus their Nikes, cuz Dad is a closet sneaker head.

dammnnn, and here I was thinking about how many months I'd have to work even sans any other bills just to pay for a Rivian RS1; guess I can consider a his and hers for the price of a twisted defender. I'd much rather do an EV conversion of a studebaker avanti or my old trans am, but fear some texting idiot will kill me in either.

I like the features of the Fisker Ocean too but realistically even the Ford Mach E is hard to justify as we have one car paid off, and the other will be in less than a year. We now have solar, and I view EV as the right way to go at least as far as local air pollution, but an EV will likely cost me far more than the gas and maintenance I could save if I drive my ram 1500 into the ground.

Of course by the time that happens, I will be on a fixed income, but maybe solid state batteries and EVs will be cheap(er). Decisions, decisions.

I have a reservation for an R1T and just got the cost increase email. My configuration went up to $99,000. I'm keeping my reservation for now hoping something changes but there's no way I'm spending that much.

So, I was wondering if any of you folks in the industry could clarify this. I thought that debadged, curve camo’d test vehicles were never to be left out…that they always were to be moving and only left on your private sequestered property. Perhaps I am wrong or maybe there is some other reason you might leave one out unattended in the wild.

Saw this while walking the dog tonight on a Manhattan street. Struck me as a kinda odd sight on the Upper East Side.

Every manufacturer has different rules about camo and levels of confidentiality. They folks that care the least get the most real world prototype testing done.

Some of the internal rules are gobsmackingly stupid though.

You guys out west get all the coolest stuff. The ones they shipped to Minnesota that year were totally rusted out by '83, '84 at the latest.

In the late 70s my cousin had the F-150 of the same vintage, silver with the floor shift. Pretty sure he fit some sort of four-wheelin' into every single trip he made in that truck.

BMW has gone over center with the new designs. The new M3 is…. Hideous. This test car has the same giant beaver teeth grills. Gross.

For some obscure reason that BMW reminds of Mr Bean’s nostrils.
