My coffee shop bud tired of his white Bentley...called it "a pig" and this just arrived from Palm Beach yesterday. Note the suicide doors and the one of, two-tone paint.

I tend to agree with this. Also, I believe this car should be illegal. For some reason these two statements are not mutually exclusive. Furthermore, I have gained new respect for the navigator sitting shotgun in those crazy car rallies.

Radwood came to Detroit this weekend. Of course it was also 85+ degrees in December and the F&%$ing pay stations for the on street parking didn't work and after failing to pay for parking at two of them I got a $45 parking ticket. Detroit gonna Detroit. Anyway,

    Minivans rule:

And nobody does naming like the Japanese. Grand Saloon Master Ace Surf is hardly a mouthful:

A half-hearted Back to the Future Mockup

    Autozams are adorable

    All the truck I'd need:

    Toyota Country Style:

There were two or three of these sweethearts

    Best of show:
A farking Autech Zagato Silvia - Italian coachbuilt Nissan. Obviously. Apparently only 88 of these ever were made.

Not the rarest car at the show as the Dodge Boys brought out the M4S Turbo Intercepter (only 4? made) and the original Viper concept car.

Anyway, Radwood is cool. If they come to your neighborhood it's defintely worth the $17 ticket (and even the $45 Detroit parking tax. Grrrrr)

Next time you should make sure that you have proper shoes. Flip flops are not ideal with a stick. That part was fun too.

Are there claw marks on your dashboard. I rode with a guy this morning who has the racey GT3 RS. I said we were doing XXX mph on Hicks Valley Rd. He said calmly, “That’s about right.”

I got to clean that stuff on the dash :)

Hicks road is quite nice, I think I was able to get to 4th gear once.

That Lamborghini Veneno may be expensive but it looks like a turd. Yuck.

Someone has one of these for sale in the neighborhood. Same color but the paint has gone completely matte. I really like the look of cars in this era - 1958 to 1968. Something slightly naive and earnest about the designs, if that makes any sense.

There's a local group who persuade the State cops to close the Pike so they can drive at speed. Seriously.

Darren, have you had a winter on those tires? Hopefully more dirtville than snow/iceville? Those BFG A/Ts are badass and will be stellar in mud/sand/gravel, but without any sipes and winter compound rubber they could be big trouble in snow and ice.

Even for civilian fans, the access you get at these events makes the entry fee worthwhile if they come anywhere near you.

Swoon. When I get in my Subaru at the end of the day, I'm going to close my eyes and imagine it's one of those for a minute.
