That looks like the SE30 street legal race spec with fixed plexi instead of glass roll down windows and no A/C so he is probably just venting the car from the Miami Heat (no pun intended).

The guy who sold us our Volvo used to be a Lamborghini salesman. He liked Volvo better, because there was way less drama and all the Volvo customers typically had great credit. Lamborghini customers were evidently a complete mess financially and legally. I remember he said he had a customer arrested while they were on a test drive, and one guy sat down at the desk to do paperwork and a loaded gun fell out of his pocket. And an unnamed athlete (NY Jets) wanted to buy a car under an assumed name due to child support judgements. Volvo customers are a bit more sedate. Or as he said "Most Volvo customers don't drop their guns on the floor in a crowded dealership showroom." And he said the money was better in sales.

    197 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 | Bring a Trailer

Ooh, older Ferrari pics lately (and knock offs)

With a single car garage, kids, and lots of bikes, no other adequate storage, a fun car is out of the question for us.

    Anybody thinking about bidding?

But then I do research and they seem to be based on the Tundra, as is the Sequoia. So what's the real world difference? Both are gas guzzlers but as a fairly low mileage driver, that's not a huge deal to me. This would be a few thousand miles annually, tops.

There are pretty clean ones out there in the 5-year range where the previous owner has taken the depreciation hit and it's tempting to scratch that itch.

What's the conventional wisdom on owning a Land Cruiser? I would get one that is no more than 6-7 years old if it were ever to happen and it would come from a salt-free zone. Or is it just smarter to get a new 4Runner? Similar size.
Back to reality talk here (aka - non-lambo) - After gazing at a few Land Cruisers while buying our Sienna this past week, I totally want one. I'm liking all the new tech in the van and see current model LCs have most of it. Impractical for SoFla? Sure - but so is our Land Rover. Might as well trade that in and get something even more overland.

I've had a totally irrational LC jones of late as well. I notice them on the road. I have no idea where this came from..... But I want one too.

I absolutely cannot think of a good reason to refrain from buying a Land Cruiser. Especially a nicely built 80 or 100...

Drove the wife’s TDI (manual, wagon) today for the first time in a while, and maybe one of the last times before we turn it in. I’m going to miss this car.

If the process is more important than the result, you play. If the result is more important than the process, you work.

Will it be sold in the US? Looks like a UK site...

I never understand why they put stupid wheels on an otherwise beautifully restored classic. It's not that I want the original steel rims with saucer covers but find something a little better suited to the car. At the minimum, it should be polished silver/aluminium.

Maybe something from the other guy named Boyd who makes wheels...
