Chase, got any good nanny stories?
Found this article in the Times today about the elite class of nannies, what they earn, and how much of their life they have to give up in order to earn those bucks:

Figured you probably have a good tale or two.

You almost got me. Began writing a response, which turned into six or seven paragraphs. The start of a book, really. Only there's never going to be a book. Books are for guys who want to cash out by trading on the very discretion that got them where they are in the first place. I still get phone calls in the middle of the night, from far-off places, if that's what you're after.

So here's the deal. I'll try and write up a few interesting things about the gig, without going into too many details. I'll also contact a former coworker who now works on an estate in the UK. Real Downtown Abbey shit. Formal dining, hunts, the works. I'll see if he wouldn't mind sharing a few of his experiences and photos as well.

So this is my friend, Mr. Edward Charter.

He's currently employed at a country house in Oxfordshire. He's willing to answer questions. I'll email 'em and you'll get an answer. Ask away.

I want to know what goes down when a bunch of butlers get together to drink a few. Also, is it proper to drink in the butler uniform?

How has this thread been around for 1 year without a single reference to Jeeves and Wooster?

From the look of him, I suspect Trump's butler will need a replacement soon: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/16/us...ar-a-lago.html

Chasea, will you throw in an app when the time comes?
