But, depending on how much money you've got, I can see scenarios where you wear that into the boardroom and still seal the deal.

The other band we toured with had a digital camera. And thanks to that cameras memory, they also had rubber gloves inside them. Oh, Canada.

It seems to me that there is a lot of space between Thom Browne and what the average guy is doing with their jacket fit.
Those three examples you showed all look too wide in the shoulders to me. If you're a fit guy (and if you aren't, why aren't you?)
then don't wear your suit like your father did in, unless your father was Sean Connery in the 60's.

When you're trying on a jacket, lean against a wall. If the shoulder pad hits the wall before your arm does, then the jacket is too big in the shoulders.

One of these days I'm going to understand the rules of clothing that "business men" seem to go by. The ones I've dealt with dress like everyone else. As well as most heads of state.

I've gotten most of them out of bed, showered, shaved, and out the door in 15 minutes flat.

As far as undershirts go, most business folk (my lawyerly self included) wear them to increase the lifespan of a shirt. In the middle of summer it also prevents the "see through" soaking effect, and it is easy to have a spare in an office drawer if your heat regulatory measures failed. Who hasn't melted on the subway platform?

I also rarely see any business suited types wearing a suit without a belt, my self included, again. I don't need a belt to keep my pants up, but I do feel naked without it.

Pleats and cuffs died in the 90's, so no man should be purchasing a suit with these features unless they want to look dated.

great advice on the suit fit and style I learned much of the same from my mother and grandmother when you and was reinforced when I was in high school band our uniforms were basically gabardine black tux with a converter for marching we were fitted every year by a very classy euro tailor who would give advice to the guys for their other suits they would have to wear during the year. ( during exchanges or comps we had to wear suits or jacket and ties)
