A couple of years ago, my brother-in-law went on a dogsledding trip. Sled dogs are primal as all hell -- somewhere between what we think of as dogs and wolves. And when they get out of line, you've got to do some pretty primal, alpha-male stuff to corral them, apparently. Anyway, the dogs apparently saw a baby tottering around a lodge, and all thought "LUNCH!" and took off after the baby. The incident ended with the guide lying on top of the lead dog biting his ear until the dog whimpered.

yeah our dogs get little lambs by wellness too.

defiinately not free fed, can't stand the sight of a fat dog.
    they eat real fast.
they supplement their meals with grass bugs and pecans...cat poop when they can find it without us catching them.
one of the treats we use are baby carrots.
