Also, do you charge more for bigger bikes because more tubes are being used? Probably labor is the most expensive part, and don't know if that applies to when you have to build parts separately for the odd size bikes.
Well, to be totally truthful it's just easier to get a 1.5" downtube onto a 1.5" BB shell with room to lay a nice fillet and ditto with the HT.
No upcharge for big bikes, if I did that I'd have to issue refunds for all the ends I cut off the tubes for the small bikes :)
Good questions, many "features" on frames are really just there to make the F'builder's life easier!

    Duly noted, good sir.
For reference the rider is 6'9" x 240lbs + not an ounce of fat - the hard part is tuning it, anyone can make a heavy bike but the line in the sand is to know when enough metal is enough metal.
It's getting painted Vermillion with pearl & is a full build - I'll post pics.........

True fact, I get off seeing work like this. The art of doing an exemplary job at WHATEVER the eff it is you (all) do is not dying you just have to look harder for it. Hello

Steve - This road bike is the bees knees. Was it a one-off or would you make one of these for other customers?

Yes, of course - no problem.
Building a bike with all straight tubes is very refreshing fron time to time!
That bike was a pleasure to build, it may have all been Kaisei if I remember, which is a dream to work with.
    You want one?
    You let me know, Guy.

I still long so much for a Ritchey WCS-tubed 55.5cm top-tubed Coconino road frame with a sloping Ritchey fork crown in a deep sparkly blue.

I'm really hoping that Ritchey tubes will be available again in the near future. I really love(d) that stuff.

I had some, lovely stuff, it was frame size specific, very thick, very short butting with long, thin centers.
