Done / out the door with the best comment a builder can get:

"Like I said, it fits me perfectly! Pain free, dreamy riding! I've looked forward to this for many years. Thanks Buddy!"

That makes me so happy - the "Pain Free" part

buddy of mine just bought one of your bikes from another friend to ride the tour divide this summer

green hardtail, built for matt in ~2006 as a prize in the cream puff classic. I believe it was one of the first frames you built after your accident

anyhow, blake LOVES the bike and should have a great time on it this summer!

    hope all is well

I have to confess that I recall giving it away, but not building it - that was allot of bikes ago!

Tell him to keep the $$$$ but send me a 6-pack!

PS - I'm positive it's older then that, I never went to a CCP100 post trauma - thanks for the pic!

Yeah........that could be very likely..........that's many 100's of bikes ago!

I was just telling someone that I see bikes that are mine I don't recall building, but they sure are mine - it's been 13 years of full time building!

When you get some time tell us a story on your thoughts on that bike. It sort of looks like a sort of skinner tired fat bike with the 3.0s or a really fat tired 29er horse. Is that some sort of inbetweener style ride? I sort of like the idea of a semi fat bike without the cowboy wide bottom bracket that can still roll on snow or bog dog style. No hurrys on the story, but always tell them so well. Gots my hot chocolate and cookies ready for this one.

"Mid-Fat" in the cool kid's lingo - and as big as I build for.

Good for expedition riding, choss, wash riding, bajadas, backcountry fishing.......an all-rounder, really - it's going to have 5" of fork travel too.

I don't get the 4-5" wide tires unless you really are riding on snow or pure sand.

    it's a 650B x 3" / 584x75mm

That is exactly what I wanted out of you Mr. Steve. I concur about the snobike idea. Got plenty of friends that ride them all winter in the Twin Cities but to me they are too much like riding a horse style wide q factor. And if I were to want to ride in snopants and mukluks I could see the wider is better, but I still am looking at a conventional bike with a bit wider tires than the 2.25s. Thanks

2.5's are a nice compromise, with no real compromise!
