I saw the painted rigid fork being much shorter than the suspension Fox. Was the rigid fork off the shelf, or was it specially built for this bike with the proper (1/3?) sag that you intended? From the photo, it seems a lot shorter. Thanks.
Yes - it was built to not only compensate for sag but steering angle as well - steering is slightly quicker with the rigid, and a little less so with the shock to compensate for fork dive.
Plus, the dropouts are much thicker on the Fox as well................

Hi Steve, Do you consume any or all of the fish that you caught, or do you put them back and just catch for sporting purpose?

    Depends.......
I never keep what I cannot consume immediately, and some days you can have a 50 fish day, so yes.
When trout fishing we only keep one to eat out kayaking, and may take a few home to smoke on the way out.

On the Verde river I want to keep the population high as it's a small river and quite selfishly I want to keep it that way for me & my friends.
Plus, I think there are people out there that NEED the fish as well.

In Baja the limit is 10 per day, of which no more then 5 can be the same species.
In Baja everyone eats fish, and they are just doled out as currency & favours.
There is always a need for fish there & a common thing to do is take your catch to a palapa resturaunt & they cook it all up with all the trimmings & if there is leftover fish it's their's.
Also, a huge fish has allot more ability to have large #'s of young successfully, but then again that's also bad for the native fish, which I love dearly.........
I never kill just to kill.
    I never waste fish.
If people fish unethically they don't go with me again.
One of the few things I'll get really, really pissed about.

She's becoming a dog instead of a puppy!
We want her to not get much bigger so we can take her everywhere - she still fits in an enclosed sea kayak.

    Thanks!
Full builds always come out really sweet.
The Hadley Ti-bolt 10-speed disc hubs, the Phil Ti BB & the middleburn cranks were super highlights.
Plus, you get the super stoke of seeing a project to fruition that started with a phone call, some #'s, a pencil & a sheet of paper - it's what makes it worth it!

Holy shnikees that's hawt! Looks perfect, and that says a lot about the pre-coating finish work...ceramic hides nothing.

    No - it doesn't.
I was pretty stoked how it came out, and know some tricks for next time.
it looks very seamless and if you can describe something as "metallically organic" then that's how it looks.
Really happy with the whole effort!
