I believe that is an older Banjo made bike and seems to be going strong. The new ones can be seen (and purchased) here.

Hey Eric, I was just checking out your website...I like the new look and feel. Good stuff. I'm also curious about your upcoming Tool Series bikes. The website says, "coming soon," but I'm impatient and hoping you can share some more info here. Thanks!

Thanks! It's coming along great- trying to update the look a bit and bring it into the modern age. If anyone notices any issues, please let me know- we've been rolling the changes in the live version.

The Tool bikes are *just* about ready- I'll get info up as soon as I can (very close). I'm really excited about them.

So as to not leave you overly wanting, here is a shot from today:

I'm working on a fat tire road/ sport-feel all-arounder. Here are a few photos of the fork coming together, including a little "window dressing" to change the profile of the crown.

Tip treatment (echoed through the frame):

Bronze pull through at the crown:

    Blades in, and windows brazed:

And a little window dressing for a nice and clean post-paint look:

The shop has been undergoing a little work as of late. A fresh coat of paint literally brightened things up by bouncing more light around. While everything is pulled away from the walls I've decided to update the circuit for the big lathe and will be installing the blast cabinet.

On the production front I've made some great steps on the frame that will match the fork in the previous post.

Tomorrow will be a big push and should be me most of the way there.

First thing this morning I received a fun email from a client:

"BTW, yesterday evening I happened to be riding home from work alongside a long-time brazer at Co-Motion. I asked him if he knew you. He said he did, and without prompting called you "a craftsman of the first order." Nice that your reputation is strong among people in a position to judge aspects of its quality."

That is nice. Good folks over there at Co-Mo, and a great way to start the morning.

    Phew- back from NAHBS!

It was a fun show, and a great chance to meet up with friends and colleagues.

To my pleasant surprise I was awarded "Best Finish" for my city bike. Big thanks to the folks at NAHBS, Keith Anderson, my chrome guys and all my vendors. HUGE thanks to all of my clients for their support and willingness to let me go for it.

I brought 4 bikes this year- a city and track bike from my Custom Series, and two examples from my new Tool Series. As the name implies, the Custom Series are ground up bikes with all of the details and options I've been working on. Each is made to the needs and tastes of the individuals requirements.

One of those was the bike above. The photo below will take you to my construction gallery and some great shots taken by David Rangel:

I also introduced my new Tool Series. These are set model bikes in custom sizes. Designed to offer a more succinct package with the benefits of a made to measure frame- the first is a road bike designed around 25-28's.

The Tool bike was delivered at the show, and I had a very enthusiastic phone call from the excited owner post-ride. I'm really looking forward to getting these out there. I'll work on some studio shots of the other stuff and post them to my site.

Big thanks to all of the folks that stopped by the booth, including all the internet folks.

Culture Cycles takes a look at the track bike I brought to NAHBS. A bit ago I discussed wanting to build bikes with my take on "Japanese" style lugs- clean points with intentional and gestural "simple" lug shapes. I built this one to show that, and the bike was a bit of a sleeper at the shop.

I saw that track bike at NAHBS and it was absolutely gorgeous- really elegant. The photos don't do it justice. I'm glad there are some good photos of it as mine came out terrible...
