    Default This funny thread

This funny thread has made me laugh out loud. I understand Mr. Sachs desire to stop accepting new customers (at some point what's the point) and I also understand all those who are detaching checks from their checkbooks to get in line. Salute to Mr. Sachs and all those who are in line to receive his fine handy work.

It is absolutely worth the wait. I've had mine for two years and still think it is the coolest thing I own. Rides great, looks great, fits perfectly. It's not about the money or the wait. If you've always wanted one, do it.

    Do the math.

If he ever wants to retire, he's gotta cut the hordes off sometime.

    Good for him!

    Road, cross??? decisions decisions.

Mebbe when the wait gets down to a couple of years--he reopens the book? I wouldn't count on it, but anything is possible.

Yes, there will be a surge...and I think it's greatmo! Rock On Richard!:thrasher:

By the time I get one (working on getting the money together), I can't wait to put Record 15 on it.

So as soon as he makes one after mine, someone else gets a better bike than me?:frown:

But you get to ride yours while the next guy is waiting for his.
Fights begin, finger prints are took, days is lost, bail is made, court dates are ignored, cycle is repeated.

Life is funny. If we went back to, say, 1994, I bet if we asked Richard
what he thought he'd be doing in 2014, there is no way in the world he'd think that
he'd be in the position he's in now. Would it even have been possible to dream it?

For me, the 'weight' of all those people's expectations and anticipation would
be very difficult to manage, as I'm sure it is for him too. I think some folks believe
there is a grand scheme to create this 'waiting list' phenomenon, but those who
know him know it's karma. Good things happen to those who wait... on both sides.

Default Beauty in the urban jungle

This is my first post here. I have enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts on this forum. I have relished spinning this machine around the Windy City for the past 2 months now after (only) a 5-year wait. Guess I was lucky it was that short, in retrospect. Beautifully balanced in all respects, this bike stands apart from all the others I have ridden. Ironic in this day and age, when people are so focused on lengths (HT, TT, ST, etc.), geometries, stiffness/forgiveness, rail-cornering, stability, etc., that the most intuitive bike I've every had was built by a man who (I have heard) never measures the angles on the bikes he builds. That is the definition of a master.:adore:

That's a huge drain pipe. Gorgeous bike. Nice juxtaposition with the brick and concrete jungle. High five. I truly find myself wanting to visit Chester.
