1 - Glad to know you got the watch bug.
2 - Dealer stamp - need for warranty - does not matter for you as that is a JDM model; Seiko USA will not honor the warranty.

At first I thought it was the date of manufacturer...but it's two days in the future, so I'm not sure what it is now.

Did you send this in to be reviewed?
(The YouTuber "Random Rob" mentioned "Dustin" sent it in)

Titanium, sapphire, solar powered quartz, perpetual calendar. Will test the radio sync / app later. Ordered from Japan on Thursday morning, had it in my hands a week later. USPS tracking was still showing it in NY when it showed up at my desk haha. Showed up with the calendar already set up, which is nice. Granted, it was set to Japan time so I had to roll it back 13hrs, but the month and year are correct which is nice.

It's just a bit larger than my current watch (on the left), which is good.

I did haha. Looking forward to getting it back and actually wearing it! I've got a few of the Blushark AlphaShark straps waiting on it. The 'bond' strap they sent me the wrong model (note the weave is different, as is the hardware), so they're sending me the correct one and I've shipped that one back to them.

In other news, my wife wants a new watch, the batteries in hers are dead. She has always worn a watch, but has always had reasonably inexpensive fashion watches. Fossil, Michael Kohrs, etc. The crystals get scratched up and she gets a new one every couple years.

So, I got her this guy for Mothers Day. Sapphire crystal + solar power + perpetual calendar + easy time zone change. It should last a long longer than just a few years. It's hard to get a good pic of the mother of pearl dial, but it looks really nice in person.

As you may have learned from this thread, watches can take you down a rabbit hole similar to bikes and wheels. At least you are going with Citizen which, like Seiko, can be great value.

Those are all good strap choices. I got a few from cincystrap and the watch steward but they did not really work out for me. I'll try the Blushark next.

i sit here wondering what the added expenses are for the minor tweaks done to the LHD models...the indices color, the roulette date wheel, the engraving on the case back.

Finally got the JDM Citizen all set up and the bracelet sized. Gonna try it with the bracelet for a while before switching to a strap.

I'll report back in a month or so on how well it's keeping time.

Fwiw the AD where I tried on the LHD was charging the same price for both it and the regular Pelagos.

They're the same MSRP and an AD is highly unlikely to try to sell at a premium. So if you can find one in stock at an AD, you shouldn't be paying more than for the regular Pelagos.

I've always liked the funky oval shape of the Millenary. For some reason when I look at this on my wrist I keep hearing The Jefferson's theme song in my head.

I have a soft spot for non-round watches. Squares, rectangles, cushions, ovals, you name it. Nice AP.
