Not so convenient when jostling down a trail on mountainbike or racing to beat sunset on a roadbike.
Give me a decent large-format wristwatch anyday for those tasks! ;-)

I've never heard of them. I think that watch is priced high considering that it has a Miyota movement. If you want a well made diver at a reasonable price check out Steinhart watches. I have two of their models, they are very well made IMO and use an ETA movement. You can order direct from them (note the non-VAT price) and they ship via FedEx....I think the last one I purchased arrived in 2 days from Germany.

I have heard Tudor referred to as Rolex's crazy uncle who does the things that Rolex wishes it could do (samples below prove that theory).

I am guessing you are going for one of these fine examples...

Me too. I was very happy to see the Mark XVIII was a small face watch. But for me the Mark XII is one of my all time favorites.

I think of Tudor more as Rolex's cheeky younger sibling. Their construction and quality outclasses others in the same price range, they've embraced the retro heritage of both Tudor (they're not a new brand) and parent company Rolex, and they've got the breathing room to experiment with materials that Rolex will likely never touch. PVD, bronze (one of my favorites), fabrics, rough and casual leathers, etc., etc. My red bezeled Black Bay continues to be one of my favorite watches and gets more use than most of the rest that I own.

Caved this weekend with the new Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical, the new no date version. Now got several NATOs on order to play around with, the watch just begs for it.

Who knew I had a hankering for a cheap and cheerful hand cranker?

Me to! I dumped the provided cloth strip, slapped on a basic 20mm NATO cloth strap and she's a perfect casual weekend watch.

If I had the funds, my simple rotation would be a 14060M non-date Rolex Sub, cal 321 Omega Speedmaster, modern JLC Master Control and the Hammie. Quality, history, and in the realm of reality instead of AP, Patek, Lange or other unobtainables.

Surprising amount of watch for the money. Two biggest detriments are the lack of AR coating and the lume is pretty butt. But still well worth the money

The one watch that keeps nagging at me despite my "decision" that I am offended by luxury watch marketing and pricing is the Tudor Pelagos. If I ever buy another fancy watch, that'll be it.

Agreed. I commented about 20 pages back the Pelagos is enough watch the keep me monogamous...gotta be a 2-liner though!

Submariner or seadweller, glidelock puts it way over the pelagos.

They weigh a ton and don't look as cool. They are also much more expensive.

It is all subjective anyways. Right now I am lusting after both a Submariner and a Grand Seiko GMT on a leather strap (mechanical, not quartz or their spring drive).
