hey, how lucky can one man get.
Cool!
When I was a kid, we'd spend every Memorial Day weekend in Pittsburgh, visiting good friend of my parents. They had a culture fest downtown featuring all kinds of yummy "ethnic" food. I am sure it is the first place I ever had the opportunity to eat such a wide range of cuisines. Plus we'd ride the Duquesne Incline!
It's an underappreciated American city for sure.
GO!
Maybe I need to go back to Boston by way of Pittsburgh.

That is an amazing site about Pittsburgh. Thanks for that.
I grew up there, worked in a steel mill (retired member of US Steel Workers of America), and I raced with Pittsburgh's first cycle racing team, Allegheny Cycling Association.
I used to go to Forbes field to watch Bobby Clemente, Smokey Burgess, Harvey Haddix, Maz sitting in the bleachers with my grandfather for 85 cents.
There is so much history with the growth of the steel industry, the struggle of the people who did the work, the long music history in the city.
It is a very pretty place, too.
I'm going there next weekend for my 50th high school reunion !

Building bike frames for fun since 1973.
Mark…if you have free time and you’re going to be near Lawrenceville or Bloomfield, the Clemente Museum is worth the visit (appointment only with Covid) and the Senator John Heinz History Center is now affiliated with the Smithsonian and they do a great job telling the story history of the area…located in The Strip. Former steelworker here too…who wasn’t at the time? Have a great trip!
