Shipping bulk items to college

So far, two kids have gone to relatively close (3-4 hours away) schools and our Odyssey has always done the trick. Now we are dealing with a kid heading cross country and we would like to find a resource for shipping personal belongings et al to school. Any experience with Summer Storage | College Student Storage and Shipping | Collegeboxes (Uhaul) or other speciality shipping firms or am I overthinking it? Bikeflights looks like the way to go for shipping her bike.

I've used Greyhound freight in the past for some large suitcases and boxes. The price is pretty good, although she would need to pick it up at the local station. Just another idea-

Thanks...number two just started his third year and number three heads off in two years. This move involves number one heading to graduate school. In two years, we have one graduating from high school, one graduating from college and one graduating from graduate school. That might be the year for me to graduate as well and head to Italy for a few weeks.

PS...for what its worth, FedEx and Bikeflights both did an excellent job and I sent emails to both telling them so. FedEx had a four business day delivery time and Bikeflights charged $60 to ship a very heavy city bike, which took five calendar days to arrive.
