I always thought that was one of those little rings with the fanblade on it that you blew into to get that sound. Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, and Blonde On Blonde is such a remarkable triumvirate of work, and my favorite Dylan albums. Proto-Rap music. Was talking the other night with someone about Warhol/Factory/Edie/Joey, etc... and afterward listened to Blonde On Blonde almost all the way through. Edie Sedgewick is all over that album.
