Default A *very* long shot - WTB Serotta atlanta CS

    Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone out there might be sitting on an s-bend chainstay appropriate for a 1987 Serotta Atlanta. It's a 22.2 round s-bend with no ovalising and a small indentation on the inner face.

    Thanks
    Michael

There was a guy who had 10+ pairs he was trying to sell on the UBI classifieds before UBI shut down their classifieds
I'm not sure how you could track down that lead...
I built a bike for a friend using those chainstays and still love the bend - wish I could find more
    Good luck

They were simply True Temper round .8 mm wall on the early S-bend chainstay frames. You can still order the exact same ones from Henry James. It isn't hard at all to bend them into the mild S shape.

Later Serottas used Reynolds, Tange, and Columbus tubingfor the CS on different models.

Finally - I don't think the Atlanta was offered until the early 1990's. I KNOW they weren't around in 1987.

Oh, sorry - that was a typo. I meant 1997.

I'm pretty sure the atlanta was introduced in 1996, after the olympics.
