    Default Spirit (non-FL) availability?

    Howdy folks,

While I realise I could just call nova or joe b tomorrow and pose this question to them directly, I'm up watching the giro and thought I'd check in here.

I'm wondering if the round version of the not-for-lugs spirit tubeset is readily available through any of the regular suppliers. Nova only list the megatube versions in their catalogs, and Joe B's website is what it is. I'd like to try the tubes out, but I don't think I can swing the 10-set minimum ordering direct from columbus.

    Thanks!

i see it in the columbus catalog but i don't think any of the US suppliers are offering it. you could ask one of them to order some for you...

I think the FL/Pegorichie tubes are for the most part, better for tig construction. I don't know diddly about brazing- but the other stuff is damn thin.

I emailed Joe B - he doesn't stock the stuff, but can special order. If he can get it here before July, I'll probably order a few sets to mess around with.

I like big butts and I cannot lie
    You other brothers can't deny
That when a tube comes in with an itty bitty taper
And oiled up like Don Draper
    You get hot
    Wanna light that torch
Cuz you noticed that butt was plus
On the ends of that tube you're brazin'
    Or miterin' tight and weldin'
    I'm hooked and I can't stop meltin'
Oh Spirit I wanna build wit ya
    And take your picture
The Forum tried to warn me
    But that butt you got
    Make me so horney
    Ooh, butt of smooth steel
You say you wanna get in front of my torch
Well, place your bet 'cuz there ain't gonna be no cold set

    (with apologies to sir mix-a-lot)

Good to know - I checked their site but it said that they only stock the megatube shapes. I'll drop peter a note.
