I saw Ellison's orginal Oracle multihull off of Anacortes a few years ago. http://yachtpals.com/americas-cup-3049

In light winds it was just flying while we were bobing and slackjawed at 2.5 knots. A few weeks later this speedweapon lost its mast. These new multihulls are sick and the mast sizes are stunning. This has changed America's Cup, forever. The clubby good old boys are gone along with the single hull. I can only imagine what one of these things would do in SF Bay winds. From my limited experience, there are few things more thrilling than being hiked out on a caramaran.

    Always with the one-upmanship

I should correct myself on the Oracle "mast". A mast presumes a sail, and that is really wing technology.

It's all about air time. It's kinda tough to jump one of those big cats/tris.
