I'm with you ronnie. Dental/oral work tops my list of things to avoid. Modern torture with the poking and prodding sensitive areas with sharp metal implements. That said, I'm sure you'll be fine and will walk out with a big ol' smile.
I don't relish the needles. Or the big bill but the big bill is worth it if the surgeon is good. I had a general dentist and a not very good one do my first root canal. Never again. As a matter of fact that dentist doesn't do any work for me any more.

In my experience it really starts to hurt after I leave the dental surgeon once the anesthesia is starting to disappear. The work itself is not that enjoyable but there is always that pretty assistant who applies her chest against me that makes it not so bad. Basic logic would tell me not to leave the dental office and stay with the assistant but it doesn't work that way.
