A little over a year ago I made a compact alignment table. I made it for the Hampshire College machine shop where there was a major lack of space and setting up a full size alignment table was not an option. For builders with little room in their shop the design might be useful. The downside of it is that you have to check the alignment for one area, swivel it to support the seat tube, re-align, swivel back, check the alignment, swivel, swivel, swivel. Its not nearly as speedy as a full size table, due to all the swiveling back and forth, but if space is an issue it does the job. I used channel stock for the main part of it and machining the entire surface was not easy. The sliding seat tube piece lets you support the seat tube while you are re-aligning the head tube and rear triangle. Hope this is helpful.
