digital masking...cutter comparisons?
Hey folks,
time to upgrade my vinyl cutter for digital paint masks and I'm looking at two models; the Roland Stika SV-15 and the Graphtec CraftRobo Pro 15.
In comparing the two closely priced units, I've found that I'm lacking in the experience side of these two machines.
I like the Roland due to my familiarity with the company and it's history of reliable tech support and cut software, but is eclisped by the Graphtech in a few areas;
The Graphtec has adjustable friction rollers to use all widths of vinyl, allowing for use of scrap strips and less waste, has digital screen set up, origin/registration mark recognition, and cutter speed control for finer work without lifting/tearing.
If anyone has experience with either model or can contribute other factors to consider, I'd love to hear it, as I only want to make this upgrade once.
cheers,
rody
