My same friend has the ROK. In his estimation it makes a fine cup of concentrate coffee, but the Forge makes an actual espresso shot. He does a fair bit of travel for work and brought the ROK along. As I mentioned, the Forge is now the go-to for home and travel for him.

It's hard to beat this little coffee brewing icon at its own game.

Amen to that. My weekend morning routine is two or three cups of French press coffee (or pour over if feeling fancy) then a double espresso or two from the Moka pot. Our Moka is the "3 cup" version which is roughly equivalent to a doppio for this savage American.

    Too bad that's not a life-size photo. :)

Looks easy enough to build using sanitary fittings. I think I'll try!

    Thanks for sharing.

While waiting I'll still experiment with my Aeropress.

    Time for a bump.

    Pre-order Strietman CT2

This is the massively refined version of the CT1, which is pretty awesome for an esspresso-only machine -- silent, light (10kg), fast enough (7 minutes cold to espresso).

Just pulled this one with my homemade manual espresso extracting device which is similar to the Forge.

    Taste is so good!
