Gt-1?!
Sing it.
The first time I wrote one was the hardest. Thinking about that stuff is hard, until you do it.
My wife and I just updated our wills, created trusts, etc. I was amazed at how out of date my 2005 will had become. I need to touch this thing every five years, I think, so it's right.

Traveling out to Vegas to crew for Seana Hogan as she competes in the HooDoo 500. I am looking forward to enjoying the countryside at 17-20 mph

So stoked it's Friday. Been working OT this week. Built a few set of wheels. Got a water pipe leaking out in the yard. We have a small creek in front of our house. Guy is out there now to fix it...for the third time since yesterday morning. He seems genuine and wants to do a good job, but this is the last chance he gets at it before I call someone else. He thinks it's the PRV, which makes sense at this point. I had to clean dirt/sand/etc out of all our faucets last night. May have to do that again tonight.
But hey, the weekend is in sight and we're going to a music festival which should be fun. I'm betting we're the only people there without tattoos.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?
It should be a great weekend. So many little things that are gonna add up. Stupid stuff like using my cast iron skillet for burgers tonight, having lunch with friends, filling a growler, uploading a couple of rides to strava, cutting tubes on the mill and welding them out. And lugs, I've got lugs to work on. Maybe the best part is that the kids are two weeks into school and I've avoided getting sick from whatever bacteria and viruses they used to bring home. Yeah, thank you plasma donors.
OK, so we didn't get the house. But I learned more about how I'm going to buy my next home in (an incredibly stressful) 24 hours than I had in the last six months. My wife had a great meeting with a potential seller agent yesterday. We're getting the last few known problems with our house addressed in the next couple weeks. I'm ready for the next round.
The new guy started on Monday, and is breaking my door down looking for projects already.
Dinner tonight with the kid's boyfriend's family. A wedding to celebrate tomorrow. Moving the kid back to school on Sunday.
Life is pretty damn alright.
GO!
Kids are happily back to school. Taking them to the Giants-Cardinals game tomorrow. Beach day on Sunday.
T-minus 5 hours til vacation! Nine days off work, my wife starts her new job next week, kids are back in school and doing great- which means I'll have the house to myself for several hours a day all next week. All I'm going to do is ride bikes and work on house projects. Can't wait!
I am often remind of how awesome and complete that ^^ guy's work is. Yesterday, I had one of those reminders. And it's carried over to today.

signed the last paperwork to sell the house today. It has been excruciating.
Let's see- broke my wrist, got a cold that is a doozie. my wife has been having unexplained debilitating pain this week. Second time she has been in the emergency room this week. She was there all day. Turns out we found the source of th problem. not cancer not anything life threating. So thankful - still sick as a dog.
It's finally going to rain!

First week of law school down and I'm not feeling overwhelmed, freaked out, or severely behind. It's very satisfying.
Found the house that I'd be willing to raise my kids in from now thru college age...just need to write a contract, ratify it, finalize mortgage, and close.
my name is Matt
