    I really love this bike.

But at the same time I am really itching to see what it is like to ride a GS like the one you've got.

This 37 year old model being the most modern bike I've ever ridden.

Gonna sign up for a few demos I think when MaxBMW holds another demo day, but something new is not even remotely in the cards in the foreseable future.

Especially since I will not be willing to sell this unicorn...

Been logging the miles on this bike quite a bit in the last few months. Trip down to Moab and then over to Bozeman. About 6000 miles in 2 months.

I love all bikes, both motorized and pedal type. In addition to building bicycle frames in my garage I also enjoy restoring motorcycles. Here are a couple that I've done over the years.

    Wow...that is impressive.

I truly do not understand how that is done and am envious of those who can do it.

The MY20 versions might not float your boat as much as a Camhead. The 2012 version might be the best one. Given your pension for oldschool cool, this is still a largely analog beast. They handle too well for a pig and eat up gravel roads. Go to advrider.com for a deep dive.
I'm a fan, these are marvelous machines.

It’s always interesting what you see parked in obscure places.

Rub marks at the knees, some scratches and scrapes, iPhone mount, some sort of gauge precariously bolted on - looks like the bike gets used a bit.

    Thanks!

Funny story...was at MaxBMW for a new tire tube (2nd flat of the summer), and I tried it on and loved it, commented that my wife would kill me if I bought it.

A week later, I rode back up there on the motorcycle because I had to buy it!

Hillsdale PO seems to nearly always be hiring people to cover their rural delivery routes.

Another Vespa followed me home. I need help. Is there a 2 wheels anonymous program that can help me with this addiction?

    Navigation + Motos

Many of us use ridewithgps to create as well as find new bicycle routes. I do the same for moto rides esp. complicated long rides the software is very good.

Here is the question: ridewithgps on a smartphone is not bad. Due to form factor it is a bit hard to see. I'm considering a Samsung Active Tab (x) which have excellent GPS which does not require you to turn up cellular and they work well with gloved hands.

Does anyone use this rig and if so can you offer you opinion?
