Well, 2 1/2 months after losing a total of 38.5 pounds and getting down to my college weight - 175 - I find I am up to 180.5! So, time to start posting my weight again and watching what I eat.
This is weird - weighed 177 today, on same scale where I weighed 180.5 last 2 days. I can't explain it. But I am not complaining.
177 again.
Water weight? I'll fluctuate by 4 lbs per day sometimes.

135. Plan to not put on more than 4 more pounds over the holiday season.
179.5 today

181. wrong direction
Damn, 198.8 back in September, 211.2 this morning. I'm registered for the Crusher in the Tushar in July and I don't want to drag all this fat up 10k feet of climbing. 185 is the goal.
CL, thanks for kicking this back up.
I was at 210.4 this morning. First race is 9 days away, Sebring 12 hour
Too bad it wasn't under better circumstances...
I'm aiming for a loss of 2 lbs/week, which should get me to 185 in the first week of May.
209.2
208.4
206.6
Ride more, eat less
205.6
214 today, coming back from the race in Florida, I seem to have over compensated for calorie consumption.
Does anyone else have this problem, long rides create massive desire for food and even though consumption of calories is huge, so is the consumption of food?
OK, I'm back in. I've let myself go this winter. Was at 158 in September, 168 today. Goal is 158 by May 1 and 155 by June 1.
Yes. Hard rides make me ravenous. I know I put the calories back in over the course of the day. That's why I lose weight when I run - I don't become extremely hungry after a 30 - 50 minute run so I don't raid the kitchen for replenishment. I'm sure a lot of this can be overcome by eating better while on the bike and eating things that fill me correctly rather than just grabbing anything to stuff my face with - but it's not like my kitchen is stocked with Cheetos or anything.

This made a big difference for me. I started eating more consistently while riding and really got in the habit of trying to never feel hungry while riding. I no longer feel a huge spike in my appetite after the ride and, if anything, I sometimes under eat for recovery. When I go to the gym, however, it's at least 2 days of wanting to eat everything I see.
