I think Henry Louis Gates is often villainized by people who aren't actually listening to (or reading) what he has to say, AND I think he is often lionized by people who aren't actually listening to (or reading) what he has to say. That's what happens when no one actually reads your stuff and you become a face on a book leaf that gets batted back and forth across a net woven out of everyone's personal agendas like a shuttlecock in a rhetorical badminton match.

Anyway, check out this interview. He's a smart guy, not least because he agrees with ME about Bloomberg. And he offers a nice critique of political correctness as a type of friendly-fire enforced paralysis on healthy self-criticism from within various polemics. Plus all the stuff about the "Beer Summit", which I expect a lot of people have forgotten about. I did.

to me this sums up the lies and obstruction one side is willing to participate in. this jerk lies and these hosts destroy him for trying to lie, then he keeps lying. Hypocrisy much? this interview shows how ridiculous the one side was during this farce. watch this and tell me what you see? i see the average trump arguments, where one side has evidence, facts, and truths, and the other side repeats lies, deflects, and generally argues in total bad faith. its hilarious. this is a former public servant just lying time after time.

im not sure this is at all true. i think hes actually more conservative than the republicans right now, so he may draw in true conservatives. i think this is more crap to make us want to vote for a candidate of lesser ideas, lesser morals, and more under control.

I think the Dems are just so completely freaked out about Trump that they are getting way ahead of them selves. Seeing in the real world who is getting actual votes and winning primary races should settle things down a bit.
