Because Ronnie mentioned it a day ago in post #1046, I found the eBay
listing, and mined the images. You're okay with all that, I hope atmo...

Re: Richard Sachs Cycles
At a time when the return to handcraftsmanship is often in the news and the community of design “makers” continues to grow, the custom bicycles built by Richard Sachs—and the attentiveness he brings to building them—are still a rare ideal. This same attentiveness is just as evident in what he calls the “pile“ of books he “built” for his list.

Re: Richard Sachs Cycles
Are any of your frames going out with the new decals and a color other than the new team color?
Any chance you're going to post some of them?
I'm sure my Mac isn't rendering well the orange/brown/pumpkin color of the new incarnation and it probably "pops" better in person, but I'd be curious to see how the decals look in a variety of color presentations.
Thanks.

I made the comment earlier, maybe 10 weeks ago, but after 12 years of shots, I hit the wall wrt to pic posting and on am self imposed hiatus. I also sprung for a new Sony (the same one the Shah Of Iran would buy if he were still alive atmo) and am still learning the ropes. The first two runs of road frames have come and gone to clients. The next batch has some special ink prints and will go on a white frame, and then also 1-2 red ones. Basically, for the time being, the graphics package from the August changeover IS the the graphics package, but I am still settling on which color paints will work with it atmo.

Re: Richard Sachs Cycles
Richard,
What is your take on disc brakes for cyclocross and is it something you would entertain going forward? If the answer is yes, would it be in typical Sachs tradition of designing your own frame fittings or using existing.

I think they are stupid atmo. That's stupid for 'cross racing, mind you.

Re: Richard Sachs Cycles
That's what I thought you might say, just wanted to confirm. ATMO, change for change's sake.

So what you're saying is, you will put discs on road bikes, but not CX?

When elegance takes a hiatus maybe then I will reexamine these decisions atmo.

Re: Richard Sachs Cycles
Why does it say "Emil Sachs" in handwriting on the top tube? Is this your brother, or do you suffer
of split personality? Maybe, like in the case of Dario, this is a marketing trick for batch made taiwanese frames and the guy in the NAHBS videos
is an actor playing a slightly confused elder framebuilder, who doesn´t understand TIG welding and gives all this
a hint of genius.

A signature is a mark; it's not necessarily composed with the letters that make up the name of the signer.

Of the few orange Sachs that I've seen in person, the pics don't do it justice. I have had a few orange bikes of varying shades and they always look better in person. Maybe it's an orange thing?

initially I thought I might suffer of dyslexia, but this explanation is brilliant
I whish I had something like this thought up when I was a kid trying to defend my own handwriting against my mother
(a battle which I lost badly bruised)
