I have time to get a ticket...
My copper pan came back from Brooklyn Copper Works re-tinned, cleaned up and polished beautifully. Cooking is good again.
After 3 weeks in the hospital, my daughter fighting a Lupus flair with complications, was released last Friday night. Has been to various doctors 4 days out of the last 7, including all day today in hospital for treatment. But everything is heading in the right direction!
This entire month has been a painful blur, but it’s in the rear view now, moving forward with progress!
I just signed my separation agreement giving me full custody of my girls. 10,000 lbs have been lifted from my chest. I literally couldn't ask for more from today.
Insubordinate. And Churlish.

And if you're not squeamish, this ball of adhered intestines/liver is what they pulled out of him little larger than a baseball. At birth, he had a Dr Heart perform his first surgery (to push his intestines back in), and Dr Chance performed this one.
In Sint Martin having Mahi Tartare on the beach at Grand Case. Life does not suck. Must keep everything in perspective. I have nothing to complain about and better not forget that ever.
My wife left for the weekend with a couple of our kids and while I love that woman with a part of every cell I have I'm just giddy about the fun that will be had this weekend. Sunday night I'll be so happy she's home, but until that moment, it's party time(I have no doubt she's posted that same thing on whatever forum she may visit).
I'll be up at dawn(ish)? heading North for 2 days of sun, fun, suds, skiing, and the crew - sans hangover!
you're not the lord of the flies
It's the first morning since we were ambushed by the stomach flu that I feel like eating. I'm trying to motivate my bro for a last minute NAHBS road trip marathon. Anyway it will be a nice 70 degrees here in Florida regardless and I'm walking without a boot too. Yehaw!
I don't work flying or at an airport. Wednesday flights from SXM don't go, east winds way over tolerance, fully loaded planes can't take off downwind and upwind won't clear the mountains so several planes offloaded after 4 hours and everybody rebooked this way and that (some overnight and when they showed up next day without looking they found they missed it) but we got early into CLT yesterday instead of PHL and waited 14 hours for ALB connection that went out a couple hours late waiting for craft and then crew... watching the mayhem yesterday made me think I will never complain about my job ever again. If you travel and you find yourself in a shitstorm like yesterday in the northeast, try and make the people working smile a little. It suck so bad for them... I think the best one was the lady that just about started a brawl over the "priority lane" and how nobody respected her privilege.
Life don't suck. I don't face an unending stream of angry, tired and confused people all day long.
I was pretty motivated to post in the grump yesterday which was day 8 away from home at a conference. But, yesterday's news trumps all negative vibes. I was accepted, with scholarship, into my top grad school choices and one of the county's best programs. Very excited.
congrats, that's rad. what program are you going for?
