It's had to argue with their definition of fitness.

lengthy endurance, use of physical strength, technique, and mental fortitude- I'm going to go with Boxing.
Badminton or ice fishing

Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
The guy that is the, "guy," and is also on the still pic of that video is Rich. He is from my small town and his Mayhem gym is literally 50' out of my shop door. I can sit on the bench and watch them train every day. I am amazed at the popularity of this in the past couple of years. Maybe because I live in a small town and we, apparently, have the fittest man on the planet. If you ever need someone to pick up a tree limb off of you, I would call Rich and none of my cycling buddies.
That being said, he is absolutely the nicest most humble and family oriented cat you could ever meet, he even rides a bicycle. But, it is just a Trek. I have no desire to cross fit, but whatever gets everyone out in there skivvies doing fart licks past my shop door, breaks up the day.

I quote the TV show because it was one of the most entertaining shows on TV, Kenny Powers character was an overweight out of shape baseball pitcher, and said the insult about a MAMIL Triathlete.
Is cross-fit really a sport? Or just serious training? Are cross-fitters making millions off competitions?
That being said - I'd love to ripped like those cross-fit work-outhletes. I wouldn't even own a shirt ...

I know when rich won the first year it was $250k prize, it has probably gone up since then. Not counting his endorsements. He is sponsored by Rogue, that makes all the equipment. He built a new, huge gym and they gave him everything. I am sure there is money at that level.
There was a huge competition a couple of months ago here, people from everywhere. I was sitting at the little pub next door, doing some beer research after a ride, and they were all coming in. Baked chicken a me waters. Zoinks, that sounds awful. All of them ripped and wearing those shirts with all of the loopty lous and fancy women's jeans with swirls on the pockets. Not passing judgment, well yes I am.

I would consider him a good business man then. A good business man who is seriously ripped and good at exercising. I'd still call him to move a fallen tree if I lived near him though.
All things considered, I think I'm going with Boxing for all over best sports athleticism.

"………Beginning this season, Reebok will expand the prize purse each year for the next seven years. The total payout in 2014 will grow to $1,750,000. Next year, the prize purse will jump to $2,000,000. After 2015, the payouts will increase by an additional $200,000 each year until it reaches $3,000,000 in 2020……."
I think it's a sport if you want it to be and a training tool if you use it that way.
TdF or bike path warrior, each sport has many different approaches/people and levels.
My very uneducated guess is the best boxer in the world wouldn't get very far in the CF Games. But the best CFers wouldn't last long in the ring against an experienced opponent.

on a quick glance I don't see...rugby players anywhere? Not too many sports that mix raw power, speed, agility, mental toughness and that little extra bit of crazy.
Insubordinate. And Churlish.
