“Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.”
– Mary Oliver
Today is likely your last chance to ring these Senators phones off the hook, particularly Lamar Alexander, in an attempt to get the Senate to hear witnesses. Lamar has decided that Trump is guilty as charged, but that coercing another government to dig dirt (real or imagined) on a political rival, for personal political gain, isn't impeachable. The Founders warned explicitly about the threat to our country of that sort of activity.
All are (202) 224-
Mitt Romney: 202 224-5251
Lisa Murkowski : 6665
Susan Collins: 2523
Martha McSally: 2235
Cory Gardner: 5941
Richard Burr: 3154
Lamar Alexander: 4944
Ben Sasse: 4224
Mike Lee: 5444
Nothing, this farce is over, the Senate has cast their fate, the country is forever changed for the worse. The precedent being set is shocking to me.
I sent out 25 letters or so, not one reply. they dont read them or care.
My state wont vote for trump, so whats left?

exactly right.
the defense already went from "he didnt do it" to "he did it, but it wasnt that bad" to finally "yea, he did it, and it's bad, but not bad enough to remove him"
one has to wonder if there is ANY limit to what he could do where we would take seriously the concept of checks and balances? because one thing is for sure - we are not there right now.
All the more disappointing with Alexander is 1) He's retiring, and 2) His political mentor was Howard Baker, the Tennessee Republican Senator who had enough courage to seek the facts of the case when the Nixon impeachment was going on.
Seems Lamar and his plaid shirts didn't learn the right lessons from Howard.
It's not over until it's over. It's not over until YOU give up. Don't. The majority of voters want to hear Bolton/witnesses. I've been getting nothing but line busy tones when calling the phone numbers I listed above so I sent an email to each. It's quick and easy if you know one tidbit: In the following URL for Marco Rubio, replace "rubio" with the last name of each senator you wish to contact and you will be taken to their website. You can then find the contact tab.
U.S. Senator for Florida, Marco Rubio
I was able to replace each last name from each subsequent URL that I landed on for contact info, without stripping any other elements off, and land at the next person's site. If that doesn't work just hit back to get back to the core URL, above, and type in the next last name. This is my message:
It is unconscionable that you would take the position that Trump's behavior has not been proven and/or was unimpeachable and/or that Bolton's testimony isn't required. Trump knew EXACTLY what he was doing and the notion that he thought it was in the national interest is moronic; and you know it. DEMAND WITNESSES. All of you who fail to do so will go down as pariahs in the history books; it will be very well deserved and it will not be hyperbole to consider you as a traitor to the ideals espoused by this country.
It took me all of 15 minutes to send emails to each of the Senators on the list. So, get off your backside and try to make a difference.
the days of learning and lessons and courage are over, we are now in the money rules phase of governing, i expect both sides to get dirtier and dirtier now. why wouldnt they? we seem to love being entertained by dirty politics..as evidenced by those who relish in the "win" instead of the outcome. we are treating our governance like another reality tv show, perhaps that is exactly what this country deserves? more bickering, more lying, more antagonism, more money, less decency, less humanity. Welcome to the next phase, we are here.

Once this impeachment chapter is concluded later today, it is only fair that people rally behind Senator Elizabeth Warren moving forward.
and what about Warren is more fair than any other?
