Bloody hell these bikes are beautiful! I'm sitting here pondering how many of my worldly possessions I'd have to sell to afford a frame. The life of a cyclist on a college student budget :(

Keep an eye on classifieds (and on the Paceline forum). Some earlier editions pop up for tight budgets. They ride the same, cost less and you might get a sweet rare paint job.

Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.

I'm happy to test if you or anyone want to send me one of each for comparison. Throw a cazzo in there and I promise a ride report.

i'm in the process of building up a corsa right now with dura-ace 7900, lightweight wheels and some horrible rotor crank thing like cervelos have. it's nice but not as nice as that yellow thing.

Got to be tough to see one of your frames kitted out with a budget build like that.

Snapped some pictures of a pink Gaulzetti cross bike a couple of weeks ago in Providence. Since then I've gotten a couple of messages asking what model it is and where to buy it. Reading through the posts here, seems like it's new. Anyhow, thought you guys might enjoy seeing the bike in the wild:

Oh yes, it was very much being raced.

Since I'm already here, I'll post another Gaulzetti shot. Short story: I was visiting a buddy of mine, and his shop (nothing to do with bikes, he makes furniture) happened to be in the same building as Cantabrigian Mechanics, the guys who fabricate the G frames. That was a nice surprise, and the first time I saw a Gaulzetti in person.

the painted stem as part of this "colorway module" was a bit fucking precious for my liking- but it has grown on me and i kinda love it now.
