"Obama’s comments come 10 days after NBC News’ Lisa Myers reported that the administration has known since the summer of 2010 that millions of Americans could lose their insurance under the law. "

Apologizing for people "finding themselves in this situation" instead of apologizing for lying to all of us, as he knew this would happen from the start. The President was indeed a politician.

He was not the change I had hoped for, but he wasn't a dyed-in-the-wool dipsh*t either.

Me, I'm missing Jimmy Carter right now, he faced down hot flaming nuclear death in the TMI crisis.

I've actually grown to respect President Carter in recent years, compared to how I felt about him at the time. Of course, I mess Billy!

VP Joe Biden did a terrific job earlier with his commentary about how he would address COVID-19.

Cuomo (the governor, not Fredo) is having quite a moment. Joe Biden seems to be having some trouble, and it's hard to watch - my guess is that's why Senator Sanders is still in the race when he obviously can't gain the most delegates.

Is it plausible that the "Draft Cuomo" movement gains some real steam? Could he be the democrats' candidate?

I knew little about him before but based on his handling of this crisis(real facts, real numbers, no bullshit reasoned thought) I would accept him as president in a heartbeat.

That is not fair to the Republicans, you have to allow them a mulligan too.

His expertise was well aligned to the emergency. We were lucky he was there, but he may have been too knowledgeable in that situation--I was a kid, but I recall the adults around me wondering if he didn't act quickly enough because they were so worried about that "nuclear" word.

All these years later, with information much more available than it was then, large numbers of people are still acting in the same emotional way. There are a lot of people in this country, this world, who are more comfortable being told what's what by a politician than I am. I don't think that makes me any better (it's probably a disadvantage for me) but it does cause me to be anxious about the need for leadership that is willing to put an informed public ahead of a positive image.

Josh, why pick on me? Seriously.

I could post links to the Onion day after day like others do, is that more productive?

As Joe would say, "C'mon man"!

To put it the other way...people seem to have lots of reasons why Sanders shouldn’t be and why Biden shouldn’t be. What are the reasons Cuomo shouldn’t be?
