IMG_0151.jpgHere's a shot of my head tube badge. Water jet cut SS. Fully finished before painting then masked. This shot is during the unmasking. Not sure you want to be doing any more sanding/buffing AFTER painting then absolutely needed. It's real easy to skuff the paint. Andy.

I like the different depth and tipo on the text and in the serial. Silver brazed. We mask the HB before paint.

A jeweller friend of mine made them for me. First he handmade a wax mould with the logo shape, then he uses this mould just dripping melted bronze inside, take the result out and refine the raw finish it by hand. Once the headbadge is done, I drill a 2,5mm hole in the headtube, which afterwards thread together with the headbadge, for a 3mm allen setscrew (the ones with the head inside of themselves), so once it's bolted on the headtube (with a little epoxy between both surfaces), it will stay safe and without any visible "attachment" system. In the beginning I did only "epoxied" them and it's not 100% safe, so the setscrew showed up as a nice solution.

Here is a picture of the headbadges as coming from the jewellery, with a "reinforced" square center area ready to accept the 2,5mm drill and 3mm thread.

P.D. Andrés, you do really have good handwritten hammer skills!

    Cheers
