I'm really stuck on Nina Simone. It seems every couple of years I dig back into her work and find a different album to fixate on. It makes it hard to listen to anything else. Right now that album is Black Gold, a live album from 1970.

This version of "Who Knows Where The Time Goes?" from Black Gold is absolutely stunning.

But that's because of the Stax musicians, the Memphis locals, etc. Harlan T Bobo did the string arrangements. I know everyone on that record. Wait, why wasn't I on that record?

One of my all time favorites. Black Gold is pure gold. Great !
