Are you back to 100% post arachnid encounter ??
Mark
Not back to 100% yet but getting there. That was a great way to drop some weight fast but doesn't do much for power. Come to think of it, doesn't do much good for cycling in general. Coming to town anytime soon?

Sounded like something you read about but don't actually know anyone that experienced it. Very glad to hear it's taken care of.
Trying to get up to Norwich in October while the riding is good but juggling work travel commitments. Thanksgiving for sure. I'll drop you an e-mail if October happens.

Joostix - Did your doc put you on BP meds? If you have had elevated BP for sometime an likely reason is slightly thickened heart walls. With lowering BP over time this should correct and this was true for me.
No, no BP meds. Doc told me I was still in the good zone but was gradually moving out of it.

Re: Help losing 20 lbs
Pretty simple really, by posting here I make myself accountable. It changes my thinking all day long, everytime I think about something like a Coke and Snickers I hesitate. It seems to be enough to keep me on track. I used a log on my dresser a few years ago and got to 150, but this reporting to the rest of you seems to be working. Do I have to split my prize money with you guys next year?

Re: Help losing 20 lbs
174 pre "morning routine". I'm bleeding lettuce right now.
I should be consistently at or below 168 soon.

Re: Help losing 20 lbs
Just to add a little more to this topic….I think the trick is to find what it is that makes you be accountable…it might be as simple as the goal weight posted on the fridge or on your mirror or maybe a photo of yourself when you were skinny or when you were fat. Just figure what it is that makes your head take notice and helps change your thought patterns.

Re: Help losing 20 lbs
Wow, gained 3 pounds in one day thanks to Chef Tyler Anderson Dining, Essex Connecticut bed and breakfast, Copper Beech Inn, Ivoryton, CT making a great four course meal for a private party last night. It was very tasty but not the best for watching your weight. 116 today.

Re: Help losing 20 lbs
Weight loss has been a slow trickle this week. Perhaps a couple long rides on the weekend will get things moving faster.
