cool car Lionel, even if for me, a porsche 911 will always have a wing. my dad owned a 1980s 911 turbo "whale tale" in prussian blue that was really purplish when I was a 4 year old. traded a vintage corvette for it and immediately found it vastly superior, of course. only got rid of it because it was stolen from the dealership by bank robbers, true story. can't really blame my dad for taking the insurance check, to be honest. drove that car for 2 years at no loss.

Yes probably one of the last iteration of the naturally aspirated flat 6. One of the best engine ever, sounds incredible too.

A few more pics as waiting is hard (still in Europe this week).

Wow, that is a beautiful Chevy indeed.

My wife's first car was a 57 chevy wagon with a visor, dark green and light green.

The Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix is coming up in July and Shelby’s are the marque car this year, along with Alfa’s, which are the spotlight car. If you haven’t been here and you love seeing every possible vintage and exotic car (2,500) in one place, with racing taking place on two weekends in a historic urban park, you’re missing out. I’ll even organize a local ride if you give me some notice.

Not sure this belongs here, but I am sure when it comes out in November there will be some discussion about the needs of creatives to take license with some history etc etc etc...

Crazy day, MRS-CGD-SFO then a 5h drive from the bay area to LA at close to 100mph in order to make it before the dealer closes. Only drove the car 0.8miles to get to my hotel.

Is that a black panther decal on the side of a legit supercar????

And Lionel - that's a nice car. The least you could do is get the whole thing in a picture tho!

Spotted this on an Accord Sport at the local Honda dealer while getting an oil change. It's a bit of a PITA going to the dealer for an oil change, but I bought the car new there, and they offer free lifetime oil changes on new cars purchased there...so, if nothing else it's a couple dollars saved and a rare chance to sit down to some quiet and read haha.

Anyhow. Paddle shifters on a CVT. What nonsense is this???

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?

You should see what the rich foreign kids do to their $100k college rides here.

There's a very painful AMG GLC43 (a ridiculous vehicle out of the gate) I walk past almost daily, black with bumble-bee yellow stripes and enough stickers, decals and goo-gaws to choke a good-sized goat. It was clearly the work of a 20 year old drowning in too much money and too little good taste. The MA plate in the Kuwait plate-holder, over the Euro-style Saudi plate, is just the most obvious signifier...

You have no idea how glad I am, in retrospect, that I had no money when I was a kid. My first car was a '98 Camry my parents bought me. 4 cylinder, automatic, marshmallow soft suspension that gives zero feedback. I got it the same year Fast & Furious (the first one) came out.

Had I had money to spend, that car would have been sooooooo riced out. Wing, body kit, neon underbody kit, fart can exhaust, etc. Kids are dumb. I know I was!!!

Thankfully I had very little money, so all I ever did was install a CD player and swapped out the factory speakers. That car sucked as far as fun goes, but it was a good reliable car. Got me through high school and college. Only problem we ever had with it, it was due a timing belt change, and we were just going to wait till the break between summer and fall semester to get it changed. Well, we shouldn't have waited, it broke on me one day while sitting at a light during summer semester. Amazingly, including the tow, I had it back the next day and it cost less than $200.

It was a fantastic e-brake drifter (wet parking lots or dirt roads).

Not my pic, but mine looked just like this other than the wheels.

    Yes how awesome is that.

Between the ferraris, lambos, astons, bugattis, bentleys, it's getting harder and harder to standout.

It is like the gold Mercedes 6x6 G63 AMG, Gold Rolls and gold Bentley at the Dorchester of Turki Bin Abdullah.
