Recent acquisition, 1967, small block, Auto. It looks like it was originally a big block however. When it's all sorted out it will be for sale.
Ooooo that's lovely Mr. Hoff.

Found an S2000. 03 (best year, IMHO) with 85K. Southern car, no rust. Comes with a 255 square set up, along with the stock rims. Some mild suspension mods, but nothing silly and all stock parts included. Minor cosmetic issues, but nothing a little touch up paint and a few hours of PDR won't cure. Given where the S2000 market is headed, I think I'm getting a deal. It will be my daily driver...
"As an homage to the EPOdays of yore- I'd find the world's last remaining pair of 40cm ergonomic drop bars.....i think everyone who ever liked those handlebars in that shape and in that width is either dead of a drug overdose, works in the Schaerbeek mattress factory now and weighs 300 pounds or is Dr. Davey Bruylandts...who for all I know is doing both of those things." - Jerk

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?
For the VW crowd, check out the Rabbit Edition GTI. All the good stuff like increased HP for 2019, limited slip differential, LED lighting, etc. without stuff everyone hates (and by everyone I mean me....) like leather and a sunroof.
The price is right too. It’s the one to get for the last of the Mark 7.5 generation GTI.
La Cheeserie!
Ny neighbors brother just got one. Saw it a couple nights ago. Pretty spanky.

I think the white one or the dark gray is the way to go with this car. Probably dark gray for maximum stealthiness.
I'm tempted to get one but I'm not sure a second GTI is the right move at this time. Probably wait for the Mark 8 versions in a year or so. I just hope VW doesn't screw it up somehow.
A friend just got off the lease on her Jetta and as a former Golf owner, she wanted another one. The salespeople pressured her hard to get the new Jetta but she held strong and ended up with a Golf. But I don't understand why they push so hard against the Golf and GTI. I went to a VW dealership a couple weeks ago to enquire about the GTI Rabbit Edition and the salespeople are just awful to deal with.
Are there any car salespeople here who could comment on the business of selling? It's just a terrible experience and maybe that's because Joe Public doesn't actually know anything about cars. But it's so frustrating listening to a sales pitch when I pretty much know more than the salespeople.

This was my experience too. I was sitting in the driver’s seat of a GTI saying if you add snow tires to the deal, I will take it and the salesman said why don’t we go back and look at the AllTrack. Given VW’s problems with car honesty in the past, I figured he was signalling that there was something wrong with the GTI also. And he was irritating the hell out of me and wasting my time. So we walked across the street and bought a Volvo. And I am glad we did.
So, I fell victim to VW marketing and I've been pretty happy about for the last month. I have always appreciated what VW offered, but I have always known owing one is fraught with potential tragedy for someone like me, I keep my cars for a while. Six year/72k warranty, 6 speed m/t, hatchback and a turbo. The Rabbit has good lights, cloth seats, no sunroof, basic infotainment and basic driver aids, perfect for me. Fun, agile ride in a basic car, I like it. I basically bought the car on my way to work one day. My local VW dealer had a White and a Black Rabbit. I had a low set of numbers in my head, it was really cold, wet and snowy, with no one else in the dealership that day. The dealer was way below all my number parameters. I had a good deal going here so I wrote the check. I could have probably done even better, but at a dealer good is as good a deal as I ever hope for. My dogs like it.

I still miss our e-Golf. Especially after a few days in the Model 3.
