    My brother mentioned to be careful with older electronics because the elco’s start leaking. Probably more an issue for amps?

    Seem to have a funky cult following. I picked up a Marantz CD5000 a few years back (maybe paid $130 via ebay?) to pair with a vintage Marantz receiver and its been great. This is an amusing (to me) read http://www.lampizator.eu/lampizator/...rantz5000.html

    I suspect another option is to look for a blueray/dvd player since they are typically very much backwards compatible to cd formats and there seems to be a good bit more options there rather than a dedicated CD player.

    I took a mini-roadtrip with my wife last week and I grabbed a dozen or so CD’s from the rack, wrapped them with two large rubber bands and played them through the Blu-ray player in the car. My youngest son was appalled when I sent him a photo…
