curious ... were you using it when it blew up?
did it get really hot? how long did it take to cool down?
was it charging?
man, that would freak you out if it happened on a plane.

glad this didnt coincide with the "irrational fear of flying" situation. something like that happening mid movie on a transcontinental could be a little hairy!

I’d just open the window on the plane and toss it out.

I used it on Saturday morning while I was on the trainer, watching some video of who knows what and I when went to use it on Sunday, I noticed that the case that I keep it in was bowed. When I looked at it more closely, I went WTF. A Google search let me know that this wasn’t an isolated event and there were several references to fires and such. The Apple Store dude told me not to puncture the battery...no chit Sherlock...as that can possibly lead to a fire. Yes, if that happened while flying, I would have been a bit puckered up.
