@sk_tie, that's good info. I wonder how much the public has wasted on HDMI cables in the past decade?

I finally switched. Threw out my old monster cable gold plated RGB and audio wires with a single HDMI. It looks cleaner. Picture quality is no better. I may be imagining things but thought it was slight better before(probably my imagination since HDMI is digital). I just can't believe the thickness of old those old wires -Mike G

my parents finally killed their plasma last year. It was a good TV. It had a faster response rate and higher contrast ratio than most of the LCD stuff. But man was it heavy.

We've still got a 50" Panasonic plasma display from maybe ~10 or 15 years ago. It looks fine, still works great... I'll probably get a Sony OLED when it comes time to buy a new TV.

ditto, but in my case, I'd probably go 48 inch. I'm a big fan of the 42 inch size for my living room space

Yes, I have the last generation Samsung plasma. I love the smooth look to the colors in the picture and the excellent motion. LCDs are typically so oversaturated that it's like the video equivalent of an overproduced song by a pop diva. That said, the newer techs have gotten much better in the last couple of years.
